Project Overview: Seamless Hardwood Lacing & Refinishing

For this transformation, Premium Grade #1 Common Red Oak Solid Hardwood was used. #1 Common is a popular, high-quality residential grade known for its beautiful, balanced, and natural appearance. It features a tasteful mix of character, prominent color variations between heartwood and sapwood, and subtle natural markings that give the floor warmth and rich visual interest.

Our team performed a complete sand and refinish project, lacing new red oak into additional rooms to extend the hardwood throughout the main living areas. This created a cohesive, open-concept layout that unifies the entire floor plan.

Design Note: While the larger portion of the project focused on the hardwood flooring sand and finish, introducing a stylish and durable carpeting on the stairs helps break up the expansiveness of the wood while providing a softer, safer surface on the steps.
